Take time for yourself each day. This is something that a parent specially new ones should regularly do. You might say, you cannot afford any extra minutes doing things not so productive or not attending to your new baby, but hey! This is exactly what you need to say sane and be able to continue your role as a mother. Often, as nurturers we forget to nurture ourselves. It is our responsibility to take good care of ourselves and part of that is getting breaks and pampering ourselves every now and then. Every mom deserves this. Don’t wait until the next mother’s day to splunge into a pampering day. Actually, it doesn’t really have to be big or grand such as going to a spa and getting a hot oil or pedicure and manicure. Even simple things count.  Start with 20 minutes each day. Go out and take a walk and breathe the fresh air, or do something you want to do for yourself, not something you NEED to do. This activity should be something that will not drain you out of your energy but something that will envigorate and recharge you.

Some ideas?

1. Take a walk with your pet dog outside your house

2. Watch the sunset

3. Read your favorite book

4. Watch your favorite tv show

5. Take a bubble bath on the tub

6. Go out with a friend

7. Dress up and freshen up

8. Do Gardening

9. Give time for your hobby

10. Sing out loud on your videoke

The list could go on and on. It’s actually up to you. The main essense is that you have to give time set only for yourself. You have to reconnect with yourself and do something you really love to do.
